The school board discussed the dual credit program at the high school at Monday’s board meeting. Funding options were suggested to help make the program more affordable for students.
One of the discussions at the last Mineola ISD board meeting was about the standardized test results for last year. Words like dismal and unacceptable were used by board members to describe some of the results. There were a few “bright spots,” as superintendent Dr. John Fuller put it, but the scores were disappointing when considered broadly.
A special session tonight, 8-5-2013, was held to discuss new bus lanes for the elementary and high schools and budgetary matters including employee pay raises for MISD employees. A 5-day poll is posted to this story.
