Billy George Cash, age 35, of Mineola, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. He was born Wednesday, June, 21, 1978 to Londean and Carol Davis Cash. Mr. Cash was a member of Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Londean Cash.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Johnny Bob and Carol Atkinson of Winnsboro, TX; wife, Sheila Cash of Mineola, TX; two sons, Clayton Davis Cash and Randall Lane Cash of Mineola; sister, Rachel Cash of Winnsboro; step-brother, E. J. Atkinson of Lubbock, TX; two step-sisters, Amber Atkinson of Pittsburg, TX and Megan Lowe of Huntsville, TX; several cousins and other relatives.
Visitation for Mr. Cash will be 6 -8 PM, Friday, August 30, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola with Rev. Kenny Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Winnsboro, TX.
Sunday evening, September 1, 2013 at 8:30 pm Boy Scout Troop #385 of Mineola, Texas will be holding a Candle Light Memorial for Mr. Cash at the Mineola Nature Preserve pavilion. His son is a part of this Troop. There will be a place to donate to the family and get a small candle to light.
Lula Van Harpole, age 90, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Grand Saline, Texas. She was born on Saturday, May 26, 1923 in Golden, Texas to the late Oscar and Lois Harpole. She was a member of Golden United Methodist Church. She volunteered with the Salvation Army in Tyler and also worked with the Mineola Caring and Sharing program.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Doyce Harpole and sister, Reba Harpole Jackson.
She is survived by a brother, Billy John Harpole of Golden, Texas and loving nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation for Ms. Harpole is scheduled for Saturday, August 17, at 10:00 AM at Golden United Methodist Church. Services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jim Pickens officiating. Family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Golden United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, Rev. C. A. Bird; a son, Don Bird; a sister, Myrtle Van Deventer; and a brother.
She is survived by three sons, Ray Bird and wife Velta of Scurry, Texas, Rodney Bird and wife Betty of Hawkins, Texas and Joe Bird and wife Anita, also of Hawkins; a sister, Opal Blevins of Omaha, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and dedicated, loving caregiver, Becky Attaway.
Visitation for Mrs. Bird will be held on Sunday, August 04, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas from 6 – 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held at the First Assembly of God in Hawkins on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Don Majors officiating.
Interment will follow at Rockhill Cemetery in Coke, Texas.
