Spring Fling set at the Mineola Nature Preserve

The Wood County Master Gardeners are presenting an educational mini-seminar at the Wildscape Educational Gardens at the Mineola Nature Preserve Saturday, May 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The master gardeners will present “Pruning Flowering Shrubs and Perennials” at 9 a.m., “Saving Seeds from your Garden for the Future” at 10 a.m. and “Planning a Butterfly Garden to Attract Butterfl ies and Saving the Monarchs” at 11 a.m.

Everything is blooming into a kaleidoscope of color. The azaleas, forsythia, flowering quince, daffodils, iris, bluebonnets and all the beautiful weeds and wildflowers are showing their colors.
