house_pic_front_pageWhen Bret and Ashlee met in college in 2006, they both knew they wanted to travel, see the world and experience as much of life as they could before settling down into the daily grind that we all know as life as an adult. So that they did, travel. They saw Europe and beyond, sleeping on couches and cutting costs however possible, as is necessary for college-age people to do while traveling.

After graduation, Ashlee felt the tug of graduate school, but she pushed back because it just didn’t seem right. Her experiences while traveling had such as effect on her that she wanted to continue in the hospitality industry. Working as a concierge at a high-end hotel in Dallas, Ashlee spoke with a guest at the hotel who happened to be from Tyler. Ashlee shared with her new friend her desire to be an innkeeper. Well, the hotel guest had a friend who was the housekeeper at Munzesheimer Manor in Mineola. A connection was made and Ashlee was soon spending weekends and other off time at Munzesheimer working with the previous owners and learning as much about the B&B as possible.
