David Stevenson – Fired as Mineola City Administrator – $1.3 Million in Revenue is Missing

David Stevenson, City of Mineola Administrator and Secretary has been fired for “gross mis-mismanagement of the city.”

Mayor Rodney Watkins, a local insurance agent, says the city is in the middle of a complete audit to determine what might have happened to the $1.3 million in missing or mis-represented revenue.

It is said that this missing revenue possibly spans a period of years. Mineola’s former mayor is a CPA.

Mineola relies on volunteers from the community for the positions of mayor and city council representative.

The missing money equates to roughly $282 for each resident of the city of Mineola.
