FlickerKing Set to Open October 12th

Theater goers in Mineola and the surrounding area will have something different to see later this month. FlickerKing, a play written and produced by local Mineola resident, Mathew Brian, will open on October 12. FlickerKing is a story set in Rusk, Texas that centers around one man and his obsession with flickering lights and many obsessive fears.

This thriller is sure to dazzle audiences while shocking them just a little. The content of the play is sure to draw a reaction of some sort from each and every audience member. In its truest sense, that is what a play should do. It should extract a reaction or an emotional feeling from the audience. Even a negative reaction is acceptable if you are a theater purist.

We’re not going to give away the plot here, but this play is a thriller with some really funny comedic moments intertwined among the thrills. It was written, produced and directed by a local Mineolan, so if you are in to this kind of thing, come on out and see this show.**
