As the social revolution began, Mineola seemed to be lacking a community to propel us into the next level of social connectivity. With a newspaper that’s printed weekly, and at the time of the inception of this web site was not even online, and only one local radio station, I saw a need and Mineola Buzz was born. It was a crazy moment at a local establishment that got the ball rolling and The Buzz has been gaining steam ever since.
This web site has a lot of content on it. Use the search function and you will find everything from Christmas parade video to potato soup recipes and lots of information about real events in our town that you won’t find anywhere else.
Our web site is funded by ads and other forms of sponsorship. We are here for the community. We are happy to promote events and other things that benefit the community at no cost. Commercial advertising is available and is quite effective. For more on that, see our advertising page.
The content written on this web site is largely the opinion of myself or those who choose to share on the site. Some local organizations use the site to share their events. Anyone in Mineola is welcome to use this site to share information that can be considered helpful to the community. Simply create an account. You will not immediately have authority to create a post, but if you will contact me once your account is registered and let me know the basics of what your plans are, I will gladly open the site up for you to use. Any civic organization is encouraged to use this site to post events, parties, festivals or anything else.
If you have any comments, compliments, gripes or issues, please drop me a line. All requests through the contact form go directly to me and all suggestions will be considered.
Thank you for visiting. Please return soon!
